Piedmont Natural Gas Nashville Christmas Parade to Collect Donations for Local Nonprofits
Soles4Souls & Clothes4Souls to benefit from shoe and coat donations, which ties into the parade’s theme, “Sharing the Warmth”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 18, 2014) — This year’s Piedmont Natural Gas Nashville Christmas Parade theme is “Sharing the Warmth,” spotlighting the importance of the help Piedmont and our participating warm-hearted customers provide to those in need. Tying into the theme, parade visitors will have an opportunity to share the warmth of the holidays with those less fortunate.
Piedmont is asking parade-goers to give to those in need by donating a pair of new or gently used shoes and gently used coats to local nonprofits, Soles4Souls and Clothes4Souls. There will be drop-off locations at Public Square Plaza and along Second Avenue near the corner of Hard Rock Café. Visitors will also have the opportunity to sign up for Piedmont’s Share the Warmth program.
“We not only want to help kick off the holiday season in Music City, but also offer everyone who attends this year’s parade an easy opportunity to give back,” said Stephen Francescon, Community Relations Manager, Tennessee, Piedmont Natural Gas. “Our hope is that downtown streets will be overflowing with parade-goers and donation boxes will be overflowing with shoes and coats for those in our community who need a little extra help.”
